Over the past two decades, the Naperville Fire Department has experienced rapid growth. The fire department has ten fire stations strategically placed throughout the city. This past year the Naperville Fire Department has updated and renovated its headquarters station, providing individual bunkrooms for members. The department is scheduled to update two more stations next year and continue to renovate our existing stations to better provide for our line personnel. Currently, the department employs more than 200 sworn personnel manning six engines, two heavy duty rescue squads, eight paramedic ambulances, two front line ladder trucks, and two Battalion Commander vehicles 24 hours a day. The department anticipates holding a spring Fire Academy in April of 2025.

Starting salary for a firefighter/paramedic in Homewood is $66,932 plus benefits, with a maximum salary after six (6) years at $110,408.

Qualifications
